Our getaway in Clare was just lovely while staying at Brice Hill Lodge. We stayed in the cottage, which is separate from the other part of the property, but not at all far. The cottage is sweet and cosy with a lovey fireplace. Beds were big and comfortable, and the bathrooms were perfect for two families. We brought our own bikes, but bike hire is next to the property if needed, and the Reisling Trail is just in front. In terms of location, it's perfect for getting around to wineries and shops either by bike or car. The cottage didn't have a coffee machine, but the Clare Bakery was just over the road, so we grabbed our morning coffee from there. The kitchenette was all we needed to make breakfast (on the bbq outside) and prepare some platters. Otherwise, we ate out at one of the many wineries and restaurants around Clare. KD was a super friendly host and was very communicative throughout our stay. The breakfast provisions were ample, and the little touches like a bottle of wine and a few chocolates were a lovely surprise!

I loved this property and the photo's don't do it justice. The owners ensure you want for nothing, with a fully stocked fridge for breakfast, milk, eggs, bacon, juice, bread, cereals and spreads all provided. Welcomed with a lovely bottle of local red with wine glasses and fresh roses was delightful. The huge spa bath in the extremely spacious bathroom was very much appreciated after a few days of bike riding which we hired on site. Andrew who looked after us with the bike hire was really helpful, delightful and an all-round 'great guy' to deal with.

Location was perfect for us - Being sited on the outskirts of town meant it was quiet and relaxing, with a beautiful view over the valley, yet it was also close enough to be within an easy walk or ride of facilities. And the ride mention is worth coming back to.. Bring, or hire, a bike! The Reisling Trail, which the Lodge fronts on to, is an absolute highlight of Clare; within minutes you can be at a number of wineries, or in the heart of town for food. The two bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable, well suited to our family.

Beautiful aparment with plenty of space! There was a great collection of breakfast supplies for both morning we were there. Everything was clean and and the beds comfy. Owners very quick to respond to any questions I had. The location is great, the Riesling Trail goes right next to the property, and parking is spacious. Outdoor pool looked inviting, however we were unable to use it since their pool season only starts in November. I'm sure it's very nice when you visit at the right time.

The unit was very well appointed. The kitchen was fine for the two of us and we were very happy with the breakfast supplies that were provided. There was more than enough for us. It was great to have a bbq provided and it did get some use. The gardens were very nice, although like all the Clare Valley some rain is certainly needed! Communication from the hosts was great. We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
